The company was founded in January 2007 and took over operations of a company that has existed since 1988.

With facilities at the cutting edge of technology, built in 2005, the company started its production operations of cedar shingles in April 2007.

In 2008, the company was setting up equipment to create value-added products, such as resquaring and redevelopment of all operations to maximize productivity, maximize efficiency and quality.

In 2009 the company has setup stain equipment for shingles to increase the supply of products to its existing customers and allow the development of new clientele. In addition Atlantic has pioneered an environmentally friendly product for the aging shingles, and has consistently been the first company in the industry to bring such a product on the market.

In 2010 to complement its range of products offered, Atlantic has innovated in the construction of a new dye machine to meet the needs of customers looking for small quantities for special projects. To date we are the only company that can offer its customers a one face stained shingles.

A new product with cedar clapboard has been developed to meet a new expanding market. Atlantic has also obtained its FSC certification in June 2010.

Since early 2011, Atlantic Cedar Products Inc. has continued exploration of European markets on which the company was working on since late 2009. In this respect the right products for European market requirements were developed. The company is the first in its industry to offer products with a fire retardant coating which is ecologic, sustainable and economic, an innovation in this field. The fire retardant is the result of a research partnership that has requested 3 years of development. Atlantic has also developed a second product of aging which will become an environmentally friendly option for both traditional products.
